About Your Family Dentist Dr. Thomas H. Lange
After four years as a dentist in the U.S. Navy Dr. Lange chose to remain in San Diego and not return to his East Coast roots. Early in Dr Lange's career he showed a strong interest in continuing education and the field of cosmetic dentistry. In 1986 Dr Lange received his fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry . In the late 80's he was a charter member in the Pacific Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.
In 1980 Dr. Lange started his present practice in La Jolla and almost 30 years later his strong commitment to giving his patients the best remains true. His many long term loyal patients feel they are part of a close family and have always received excellent care.
Dr. Lange participated in implant study clubs for over 20 years and regularly attends several seminars and meetings in all areas of dentistry each month. He has been an active member in the local dental society, on the board of the local chapter of the AGD, and a regular participant in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry since 1999.
Dr. Lange also gives his time to community organizations. He was a long time member of Kiwanis, being an officer or Board Member for 5 years. For over 10 years Dr. Lange participated in a Breakfast Club made up of different community professionals and was president for one year. An Eagle Scout himself, he was a scout master for his son's pack when they lived in Escondido . For 13 years he has worked closely with UCSD to mentor students interested in pursuing a career in dentistry. Dr Lange also has annually worked to assist the local Special Olympics.
While Dr Lange's commitment to staying on the leading edge has never wavered, he has never lost sight of his commitment to making the patient experience the best. He and his excellent staff are always focused on the person in their care and giving them the best and most comfortable experience possible. A former college athlete, sports have always been a major interest for Dr. Lange outside the office, though now there is less participation. Dr. Lange and his wife Susan enjoy traveling with their college age children Cameron and Heather. They also enjoy their mix of dogs and cats waiting for them at home. |
